As fall approaches, you might be feeling an itch to redecorate your home and mix things up for the new season. But if you’re not an experienced interior designer, it can be difficult to figure out where to start. There’s always Pinterest, but if you’re looking for something more specific to home design, there are plenty of great resources out there.
Whether you plan to make big or small changes, try one of these smartphone apps that make it easy to find inspiration and plan your new fall decor before you spend big bucks or start rearranging furniture.
Houzz app: Home renovation and decor site Houzz has an app that’s focused on helping you find decor inspiration and ideas. You can save and share decor ideas with others, plus get advice from the Houzz community that includes decorating professionals. You can also find and hire professionals in your area if you’re ready to get started.
Havenly app: Need a little professional assistance but don’t have a lot to spend? With the Havenly app, you can upload photos of your space and chat with a professional design consultant who can provide advice for free. If you like what they suggest, you can purchase new items through the app.
Planner 5d app: If you need a little visual help in planning new home designs or a renovation, this app lets you create home layouts in either 2D or 3D. You can also design furniture and arrange it to help you plan new decor before you make any big decisions.
