Welcome to Rancho Santa Fe.  For those of you who are unfamiliar, it's a little slice of Heaven just north of San Diego.  A charming little town only about 5 miles from the Pacific Ocean, Rancho Santa Fe is nestled among rolling hills, Eucalyptus trees, lush green golf courses, and over 40 miles of horse trails.  It's a town full of history, as it dates back over 175 years.  During the early 1920's one of the great historic architects Lilian Rice made her mark by planning and designing the quaint village with simple Spanish architecture you can still see today.

Families flock to the Ranch (as the locals lovingly call it) because of the large lots that are typically over 2 acres, providing space and privacy all within just minutes from the conveniences of the nearby beach communities.

Rancho Santa Fe has a long history of attracting the most successful residents from around the country from celebrities to professional athletes to CEOs of many large corporations. What they love most is the laid back, small town atmosphere that offers as much seclusion and privacy anyone could ever want, while still having a sense of community in a location that is conveniently close to everything.

The original community of Rancho Santa Fe is called the Covenant, which covers roughly 10 square miles and is home to approximately 4,300 residents. At the heart of the Covenant, you’ll find the Village, designed in the early 1920’s by architect Lilian Rice who would later become famous for her design style and vision incorporating the Spanish Colonial style of architecture. Even today you’ll find some of her buildings that have been lovingly restored. If you are lucky enough to own one of these properties, you’ll have substantial tax relief under the Mills Act.

The Covenant, also known as “the Ranch” by local residents, has nearly 60 miles of equestrian and pedestrian trails that weave around the RSF golf course and throughout the community. Just next to the village and across from the school you’ll find the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club. This Max Behr- designed 6,700 yard par-72 private course as well as the trail system is open exclusively to Covenant members and their guests.

Rancho Santa Fe is the perfect place to raise a family.  There are many youth sports, activities and programs available to residents as well as two private sports fields.  If horseback riding is your thing, look no further than the Rancho Riding Club.

If Rancho Santa Fe sounds like it could be the community for you, I invite you to stay at the Inn and come see what the Ranch is like for yourself.   Give me a call and I'll give you a private tour!  The people here are friendly and welcoming and this beautiful community is the perfect place to raise your family or retire in absolute luxury.
